A highly regarded law firm is seeking a motivated and industrious attorney to join its Commercial Litigation practice group in the firm's Pittsburgh office. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in all phases of litigation, including jury and bench trials, appeals, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception to completion, independently or under senior attorney supervision.
- Conduct thorough legal research and provide well-reasoned written analyses.
- Collaborate with attorneys to recommend and execute effective strategies for resolving legal issues.
- Engage in business development activities to grow the practice and the firm’s client base.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or similar environment.
- Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated expertise in legal research and writing.
- Proficiency with county, state, and federal courts, including knowledge of civil procedure rules.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
- Self-starter with forward-thinking problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Enthusiasm for professional development and business development initiatives.
